Ultimate Home on Autopilot

I was having a fun thought. You could apply some programming concepts to a house, and here’s what a house could do.

Automatic Lighting
The floor of the house could be made to sense the weight of each steps to detect the movement of people in the house. The light of each room will light up as the person enters.

Temperature Control
You might be a person of nature, loving natural air rather than air conditioning. When the house detects the appropriate amount of wind, it could open all the windows and control the wind flow to cool the house. The window adjusts automatically to block sunlight. When the house gets too hot, it could then operate on air conditioning.

Auto Suggestion
Based on what you do in a day, the house could record your personal life activities generating the usual lifestyle for yourself.
For example, at 8pm you walk into your living room, you have a few choices like listening to music, watching news, watching movies, or read a book. The house may suggest you to listen to dance music, as of 8pm you usually listen to music.
The house can suggest activities by lighting up (Have you seen some incredibly beautiful backlight?) the bookcase, stereo, tv, or whatever.
The house can guess if there’s a visitors in the house or just family time, as the bell ring by visitors, dogs barking, the house can sense the walking patterns, to make sure if they’re really visitors. And if they’re identified as visitors, the house could prepare water or tea automatically, and suggest appropriate activities for welcoming business clients for example.
If the house identifies as just family members gathering around at dinner time, it could then suggest activities like cooking, or watching movies together.
It is actually possible to detect a person’s mood, by the weight and rhythm of each steps, or tone of voice, translating to exciting or tired.. and suggest appropriate activities like dance music or massage chairs.

Scheduling
Instead of auto-suggestion, you may want to program yourself to read a self-improvement book about 1 hour after dinner, and exercise about half an hour after you wake up.
